Getting the data
Earlier, data from the oil alarm used to optimize the alarm settings, but the settings are only located on ships with no online control interface. Detecting the reason for a false alarm due to various tasks, e.g. someone painting the engine room, was always done manually. It also meant technical staff had to search through endless data, once the information was retrieved.

What we did
What we discovered was that we could get data from the control box and send it to a cloud instead. We could even do it without changing the existing technology, using pre-manufactured sensor outputs via a RS232 connection. The DASPOS A/S product team helped us identify valuable features for the online reporting system to create a 100% customized interface that would display all relevant data from every vessel in the fleet.
By bringing the data online, DASPOS A/S can now view and analyse measurements from every ship directly on their laptop rather than having to travel the globe to retrieve the data directly. While some ships remain offline at sea, their data can still be processed in the management portal with an upload feature.

DASPOS A/S wanted to be able to generate a report from a simple data file, whenever a ship was offline. So, at Konekt we conceived a mail robot that would not only generate a graphic report, but also return it to the people at DASPOS A/S automatically. Once an employee sent a designated email, he or she would instantly receive a reply, containing the relevant report. That is our report robot.
